What's in it

The book starts with the drawings, dimensions, work space layout, tools, slings, fluids and schedule. Then the front and rear frames are coupled, and the steering pin, drive shafts and piping are fitted. The axles, tires, fuel tank and fuel and drain lines come next.

After the floor and cab, the A/C, brake, PPC and steering lines, the harnesses and the throttle cable are connected. The battery box and wiring, handrails, steps, mirrors, muffler, counterweight and ROPS canopy follow. It ends with the boom, bucket, bucket positioner, boom kick-out, air bleeding and the AJSS option.

Mine sites use it to plan a build that ties up big cranes for days, and the slinging and weight details help with that. For later WA900-3E0 machines, see our supplement SEN05654-00.

Table of contents

  • Drawings, dimensions, work space layout, tools, slings, fluids and schedule
  • Coupling front and rear frames, steering pin, drive shafts and piping
  • Axles, tires, fuel tank, drain and fuel lines
  • Floor and cab, A/C, brake, PPC, steering lines, harnesses and throttle cable
  • Battery box and wiring, handrails, steps, mirrors, muffler, counterweight, ROPS canopy
  • Boom, bucket, bucket positioner, boom kick-out, air bleeding and AJSS (if equipped)

Good to know

The order of the steps matters more than it looks. Some parts have to go on before others to leave room for tools or slings, and the final checks confirm everything works before the machine is handed over. Following the guide as written avoids having to take something off again to get at a bolt behind it.

Before you buy

This is an assembly guide, not a repair manual. For troubleshooting and overhaul you'll want the machine's shop manual as well.
