Komatsu SK818-5 and SK820-5 Turbo Skid-Steer Loader Shop Manual (WEBM005001)

The SK818-5 and SK820-5 turbo are Komatsu's mid-size skid steers, and WEBM005001 is the shop manual Komatsu put out for them. It runs to 272 pages, all workshop material. It shows how the drive and hydraulics are laid out and what the pressures should read, then how to strip and rebuild the pumps, motors and valves.

SK818-5 from serial 37BF50111. SK820-5 turbo from serial 37BTF50112. A lower serial means an early machine, and that needs the first edition, WEBM005200, which we also sell. Go by the serial plate, not the year.

What's in it

Most people buy this for the drive section. A skid steer lives or dies on its hydrostatic system, and the manual explains how the pumps, drive motors and controls work together. It also gives the test points and standard values, so you can tell a tired pump from a control problem before you spend money. The PPC valves and main control valve get the same treatment.
