What's in it

It explains how to enter the machine monitor service menu, delete the electrical system abnormality record and select the options fitted. Then it covers the work equipment controller boom angle adjustment.

Unlike the WA470-7 guide, this one includes a work equipment pump adjustment. The EPC lever detent position and EPC starting current follow, then the bucket positioner and the rear-view monitor guide line position.

It's useful after a controller, sensor or pump replacement as well as on a new machine. A WA380-7 with these settings off will feel wrong to the operator, even if nothing is broken.

Good to know

Work through the adjustments in the order the guide gives them, because some settings depend on the ones before. Have the machine warmed up, parked on level ground and with the work equipment able to move through its full range. Write down each value you set, so you have a record for the next service or if a controller is ever replaced. It's worth repeating these steps after any repair that touches the sensors, the controller or the pump, not just on a new machine. The settings drift less than people expect, but a replaced part almost always needs setting up again.
