Komatsu's European telehandlers and backhoe loaders used NEF-family engines, badged S4D104E and SAA4D104E. WEBMNEF001 is the shop manual for the Tier 3 versions.
S4D104E and SAA4D104E (NEF Tier 3). The machine table names the WH609-1E0, WH613-1E0, WH713-1E0, WH714H-1E0 and WH716-1E0 telehandlers, and the WB93R-5E0, WB97R-5E0, WB93S-5E0 and WB97S-5E0 backhoe loaders. Earlier -1 and -5 machines without E0 use WEBMNEF000, which we also stock.
It's split into parts and sections, each with its own number. You get general information and engine specs, then the engine overhaul: removal, disassembly, inspection and reassembly. The fuel and electrical systems have their own sections. Special tools and tightening torques are listed so you can plan the job and have the right gear on hand.
It's the book for dealers and mechanics servicing Komatsu telehandlers and backhoes in Europe, and for engine shops rebuilding these units.
Engine shops tend to keep a book like this open beside the stand for the whole job. It has the clearances, the torque values and the assembly order in one place, so there's no guessing at a figure. The specs are set out by engine model, so check you're reading the line for your engine before you measure anything. An engine book is most useful on the bench. Measure each part as it comes out, compare it with the limits in the maintenance standards, and you'll know what can be reused before you place a parts order. The torque tables and tightening sequences matter just as much on the way back together, especially for the cylinder head and the main and rod bearings.
Match the E0 on your machine's model plate. Pre-E0 machines need WEBMNEF000.
