HM350-2 from serial 2001. Empty weight is about 31,060 kg.

What's in it

It starts with the removed unit drawings, dimensions, schedule and tools, then positioning the bare machine. The right and left mudguards, rear monitor and engine hood mirrors are fitted next.

Then the N2 gas is adjusted in the front and rear suspensions. The last step is installing the antenna, and the book closes with the field assembly inspection report.

At 19 pages, it's the shortest of the dump truck guides, but it still covers suspension gas pressure, which is easy to overlook and changes how the truck rides and handles when loaded.

Table of contents

  • Removed unit drawings, dimensions, schedule and tools
  • Positioning the bare machine
  • Right and left mudguards, rear monitor and engine hood mirrors
  • Adjusting N2 gas in the front and rear suspensions
  • Antenna installation and field assembly inspection report

Good to know

The order of the steps matters more than it looks. Some parts have to go on before others to leave room for tools or slings, and the final checks confirm everything works before the machine is handed over. Following the guide as written avoids having to take something off again to get at a bolt behind it. Read the whole guide before the machine arrives. It tells you how much room you need, what cranes and slings to have ready and which parts come separately, so nothing holds the crew up on the day. Then work through the steps in the order Komatsu gives them, and keep the torque values and fluid specs to hand as you go.

Before you buy

This is an assembly guide, not a repair manual. For troubleshooting and overhaul you'll want the machine's shop manual as well.
