An HM300-3 ships almost complete, with a few parts removed or folded to fit transport limits. GEN00111-03 covers putting those back and setting the truck up.

Fits

HM300-3 from serial 3001. The finished truck weighs about 24,910 kg.

What's in it

It starts with drawings of the removed units, dimensions, the schedule and tools. Then it covers slinging and positioning the bare machine. The rear monitor is installed and set up with a four-step adjustment, and the mirrors are fitted and adjusted using the mirror adjustment sheet.

Next come the cab step guards, mudguards and antenna. Adjusting the N2 gas in the front and rear suspensions is a step that matters for ride and handling. The last section is the tail gate assembly, if fitted, and connecting the hoist cylinder.

It's only 31 pages, but the mirror and suspension settings are easy to get wrong without it.

Table of contents

  • Removed unit drawings, dimensions, schedule and tools
  • Slinging and positioning the bare machine
  • Rear monitor installation and four-step adjustment, mirrors and mirror adjustment sheet
  • Cab step guards, mudguards and antenna
  • Adjusting N2 gas in the front and rear suspensions
  • Tail gate assembly (if equipped) and hoist cylinder connection

Good to know

Read the whole guide before the machine arrives. It tells you how much room you need, what cranes and slings to have ready and which parts come separately, so nothing holds the crew up on the day. Then work through the steps in the order Komatsu gives them, and keep the torque values and fluid specs to hand as you go.

Before you buy

This is an assembly guide, not a repair manual. For troubleshooting and overhaul you'll want the machine's shop manual as well.
