It covers the drive system, and the book allows for either diesel or electric drive motor layouts. Then come the hydraulic system and hydraulic oil filtering, the hydraulic oil cooling system and tank, and the lubrication system. There's a chapter on the tooth systems too. It's a working reference for mine maintenance crews. Hydraulic filtering and cooling problems are common causes of downtime on these shovels, and the tooth system chapter helps with the wear parts that get changed most often.

Good to know
