GEN00113-00 has one job: fitting the operator's cab on a GD755-5R motor grader. The cab is often shipped separately to keep the grader within transport height.

Fits

GD755-5R from serial 10001. The machine weighs 21,700 kg and the cab 860 kg.

What's in it

It starts with the machine and cab dimensions, weights, the tools and the eyebolts you need. You'll need about 6 m of overhead clearance to lift the cab on. Then it covers removing the parts on the floor side, under the floor and on the cab side, and taking out the floor mounting bolts.

After that, the cab goes on and the chassis connections are made. The last section restores the parts around the floor and checks each operation.

Run the steps in reverse and you have the removal procedure, which is handy if the cab has to come off for a repair or to move the machine again. Dealers and councils taking delivery of these graders are the usual buyers.

Table of contents

  • Machine and cab dimensions, weights, tools and eyebolts needed
  • Removing parts on the floor side, under the floor and on the cab side
  • Removing the floor mounting bolts
  • Installing the cab and making the chassis connections
  • Restoring parts around the floor and checking each operation

Good to know

The order of the steps matters more than it looks. Some parts have to go on before others to leave room for tools or slings, and the final checks confirm everything works before the machine is handed over. Following the guide as written avoids having to take something off again to get at a bolt behind it.

Before you buy

This guide covers the cab only. For repairs, you'll need the GD755-5R shop manual.
