A D375A-6 doesn't arrive in one piece. It's too big and heavy to haul complete, so it ships as separate units, and somebody has to put it back together on site. GEN00099-01 is Komatsu's guide for that job.

Fits

Komatsu D375A-6 from serial 60001. The D375A-6R (from 65001) has its own guide, GEN00098-01. There's also a second D375A-6 edition, GEN00097-01, which adds the undercover and pivot shaft steps for machines shipped more broken down.

Quick facts

  • Manual Number: GEN00099-01
  • Model: D375A-6
  • Serial: 60001 and up
  • Type: Field assembly instruction

What's in it

It starts with the planning side: specs, safety, how big a crew you need, how the kit is laid out, the different shipping configurations, the tool list, torque values, coating materials and which wire rope to use for each lift. Then the build itself. Chassis and undercarriage go on first, with the recoil and pivot chamber oil, then the air inlet and exhaust, the blade lift cylinders, ripper, tracks and blade. The cab, ROPS, lights, camera, the VHMS/ORBCOMM antenna and the platform follow.

The last chapter is the part people skip and shouldn't. It covers track tension, fluid levels, bleeding the cylinders, greasing, and setting up the monitor and fan. The appendix has the spill guard welding and VHMS initialization.

It's useful for dealer assembly crews and mine contractors, and for anyone who has to break one of these down for transport and rebuild it at the other end.

Before you buy

This is an assembly guide only. It won't help you troubleshoot or overhaul anything; for that you need the D375A-6 shop manual.
