Komatsu D375A-6 Bulldozer Field Assembly Instruction (GEN00097-01)

Komatsu issued two field assembly guides for the D375A-6. GEN00097-01 is the more detailed one. It includes steps for fitting the undercover and pivot shaft, which suits machines shipped broken down further.

What's in it

After the specs, safety notes, tools and torques, it starts with the chassis, the undercover and the pivot shaft. The undercarriage follows, along with the recoil springs and pivot chamber oil. Then the air inlet hood, pre-cleaner and exhaust.

The blade lift cylinders, the ripper and the tracks come next. The book finishes with assembling and fitting the blade, then the cab and final checks.

Mine and quarry contractors and dealer crews use it on new deliveries and when moving a dozer between sites. At 220 pages, it's the more complete of the two D375A-6 guides.

Good to know

Crews who do this work often print the step pages and the torque tables and leave the rest on a tablet. The guide also helps in reverse, when a machine has to be broken down for transport, because most steps simply run backwards. The final checks are worth doing in full and signing off, since they're your record that the machine was built correctly.
