CEBM003100 is the shop manual for the first, -1 series D32, D38 and D39 dozers, in E and P versions. The later -1A models have their own book.
D32E/P-1 from serial P075718, D38E/P-1 from P085799 and D39E/P-1 from P095872. For -1A machines, use CEBM004302, which we also stock.
It starts with the general specs and engine data for the 4D102E-1 and S4D102E-1. The structure and function chapter covers the power train, undercarriage, hydraulics and electrical system. Testing, adjusting and troubleshooting is where you'll find the pressures and checks for drive and steering complaints. Disassembly and assembly and the maintenance standards with wear limits round it out across 636 pages.
These small hydrostatic dozers are common with site prep crews and on farms. Drive faults, blade hydraulics and undercarriage wear are the usual jobs, and this book has the factory figures for all of them.
Most people use a book like this one section at a time. Look up the system that's giving trouble, read how it's meant to work, test it against the standard values, and only then order parts. That order saves money, because a reading that's close to spec usually points somewhere other than the part you suspected first.
