SEAW003201 is the earlier field assembly instruction for the D275A-5 and D275AX-5. Komatsu later replaced it with GEN00047-00, but this one still matches the machines it was written for.

Fits

D275A-5 and D275AX-5 from serial 25001. The later GEN00047-00 lists the D275AX-5 from serial 20001, so if your AX is below 25001, get that one. Both are in our catalog.

What's in it

It opens with specs, precautions, the tool list and tightening torques, including the dual tilt blade. The assembly chapters cover installing the track shoes, assembling and fitting the blade, installing the ripper, and fitting the operator's cab and ROPS. It finishes with track tension, fluids, lubrication and bleeding air from the cylinders, then the cab check and adjustment.

It's a short book, 61 pages, written for the crew doing the job. It's a scanned copy, so use the contents page rather than search.

Table of contents

  • Specs, precautions, tool list and tightening torques, including dual tilt blade
  • Installing track shoes
  • Blade assembly and installation, ripper installation
  • Operator's cab and ROPS
  • Track tension, fluids, lubrication and cylinder air bleeding
  • Cab check and adjustment

Good to know

The order of the steps matters more than it looks. Some parts have to go on before others to leave room for tools or slings, and the final checks confirm everything works before the machine is handed over. Following the guide as written avoids having to take something off again to get at a bolt behind it.

Before you buy

This is an assembly guide, not a repair manual. For troubleshooting and overhaul you'll want the machine's shop manual as well.
