What's in it

After the general specs and fluids, section 10 covers structure and function for the power train, torque converter, transmission, axles, differentials, steering and emergency steering, brakes, hydraulics, PPC and EPC valves, work equipment and electrical. Section 20 gives the standard values, pressure checks, adjustments and troubleshooting.

Section 30 covers disassembly and assembly, section 40 the maintenance standards and wear limits, and section 90 the circuit diagrams.

The long-arm machine loads taller trucks, and its work equipment differs from the standard loader. Use this book, not the WA900-3 manual, so the linkage and hydraulic values match. Engine overhaul is in our 12V140 engine manual, CEBM002603.

Good to know

A tip from shops that use these books every day: read the structure and function pages for a system before you start testing it. Knowing how the valves and circuits are meant to work makes the test results much easier to read. The standard values then tell you whether a reading is normal, borderline or out of spec, and the wear limits decide whether a part goes back in.
