Komatsu 12V170-2 Series SA12V170E-2 Engine Shop Manual (SEBM036601)

The SA12V170E-2 is a 46.3 litre V12 rated at 917 kW (1,230 HP) at 1,800 rpm. Komatsu used it in the D575A-3, the largest dozer it built. SEBM036601 is the 2005 engine shop manual for it.

Good to know

Before you strip an engine, it's worth running the tests in this book first. The checks in the testing chapter often show whether the problem is in the engine itself or in fuel, air or electrics around it. That can save a teardown. If it does need opening up, the service limits tell you which parts are still good.
