If you're restoring or still working a John Deere 60, this is the dealer service manual printed in 1952. It covers the whole tractor, from the front axle to the belt pulley, not just the engine. The original specs and procedures are what you want when you're rebuilding a two-cylinder the way it was built.
John Deere Model 60 with the two-cylinder 321 cu in engine, gasoline or All-Fuel. Six forward speeds, one reverse. SM-2008, printed 6-52.
It covers description and serial numbers, preparing the tractor for delivery, tune-up and adjustments, then the engine: valve-in-head two-cylinder design, full-flow filtered pressure lubrication, and the fly-ball governor driven off the camshaft along with the fan shaft. Ignition, cooling and fuel systems follow, including the gasoline dual-induction carburetor and the All-Fuel setup. After that come the belt pulley with dry-disk clutch and pulley brake, the transmission and power shaft, differential and final drive, brakes, wheels and tires, steering and front axle, and the Powr-Trol hydraulic system.
The PDF file name says 60 Series Engine, but this is the full tractor service manual. Some procedures assume dealer tools of the period.
