John Deere 8560, 8760 and 8960 4WD Articulated Tractors Operation and Tests Manual (TM1434)

TM1434 is the diagnostic manual for the 60 Series articulated tractors. Several systems changed during production, and the manual keeps the early and late versions separate, so you test against the right specs for your tractor.

Fits

8560, 8760 and 8960 with the 6076 (CTM6 before S.N. 500000, CTM42 from 500000) or the 6101 (CTM20). TM1434, 08MAR02, replaces the JUL-91 edition. Waterloo Works. Repair companion: TM1433.

What this manual covers

It covers general information, engine tests including the dynamometer test and viscous fan correction chart, fuel and air, electrical with voltage test readings and the starting circuit, 12-speed Syncro, 24-speed POWRSYNC and Power Shift transmissions, PTO and axles, steering and brakes, hydraulics and the operator station. Early tractors use a full charge system with a separate lube pump for each axle; later tractors use a return flow charge system with one pump for axle lube and cooling. Hitch draft sensing circuits and harness routing are included.
